Clarence "CJ" James

United Teachers of Florida (UTF) is proud to endorse Clarence "CJ" James for Duval County School Board, District 6. With more than 30 years of law enforcement experience, CJ is a retired Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Lieutenant and currently serves as a Sergeant with Duval County School Police. He has also served as a legislative staff member for the Florida House of Representatives, contributing to public safety policy. His priorities for Duval County schools include strengthening school safety, improving financial oversight and accountability, supporting teacher retention, and keeping the classroom focused on literacy, core academics, and student success.
